James87,
Part of me feels like I have failed and a part of me feels relieved and lucky that I didn't marry her.
Celebrate the second part.
i dont know where to start so why not at the beginning.
i was seeing this girl and we hit it off great chemistry.
it went from a physical to a deeper relationship.

James87,
She left before so odds are she can again.
Why did she leave in the first place? It's usually for "fornication". Did she get disfellowshipped (excommunicated)? When that is the case they still remain believers but feel enormous guilt and long to get back into it. You should ask her why she wants to return after having been out for a while.
question for some of the old-timers in the congregation.
did those who professed to be of the anointed and partook of the bread, did they break off a piece of the bread and then eat it; or did they take the whole piece and eat it?
TakeOffTheCrown, I'm curious to know why you're interested in this.

Blondie,
VI, I don't know about the congregations you attended, but the various ones I attended, the unleavened bread was like hard cracker and had to be broken to get a piece to eat.
My apologies for the misunderstanding, I should have said crackers. I must have been thinking about the original Last Supper where it was referred to as bread.
the one million dollar paranormal challenge was an offer by the james randi educational foundation (jref) to pay out one million u.s. dollars to anyone who can demonstrate a supernatural or paranormal ability under agreed-upon scientific testing criteria.. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/one_million_dollar_paranormal_challenge.
aaaaand discuss!.
James Randi once exposed a "psychic" who was supposedly able to turn pages in an open phone directory simply by waving his hand over them. When Randi (In front of an audience) saw that he said that he didn't know exactly how he was doing it but the psychic must have been using his breath deflecting the air from his mouth to his hands. The air would then ricochet from his hands, who were close to the phone book, thus riffling the pages. Now mind you, this guy was not huffing and puffing - you could not see even his cheeks puffing up but Randi found out that he was an expert Kung Fu artist who had trained himself in breath control. He must have been spurting hard bursts of air without the appearance of it.
What Randi did to expose the trick was to lay Styrofoam peanuts around the phone directory so that if it was his breath, instead of some mysterious psychic power, those Styrofoam peanuts would also move.
The "psychic" was flustered, he did not even try to move those pages. He lamely said that the static electricity from the peanuts would interfere with the pages turning.
I miss James Randi.
my wife's mother has alzheimers.
she asked if i would convert her mothers vhs to digital.

Thanks, oppostate!

Has anyone of you ever observe a governing body member partake of the emblems?
That would have been a thrill.

TakeOffTheCrown,
To Clarify, there are several pieces of bread on the plate. Some who partake will pick up one piece of the bread-pinch off a piece of it and then eat it (they do not take the whole piece). Others, will take a whole piece, put it in their mouths and eat it.
Yes.

I was sitting right besides one of the anointed, a personal friend of mine, and I saw him break of only one piece before passing the plate to me. He also took one sip of the wine . This was in the 1970s.
If everyone in the congregation were of the anointed this would change how it's celebrated. For example, if you were to eat the whole bread before passing it it would make the meeting much longer in duration plus the plates would have to be refilled.
So I wonder what arrangements they had in the days of Russell and Rutherford? Did they sit at the table and have a proper meal out of the emblems? This would approximate the original Last Supper.
